Rainy Mondays & Cookie Making!

I am not a fan of the rain, especially in the dead of winter. We're supposed to get SEVERAL inches of rain with high winds. Kevin came home and took Mairead to dance. He had been promising her to go and watch. Clara slept, and Lilah and I had some down time together watching the Wizard of Oz. One of her favorites. I don't get much one-on-one time with Lilah, so it was really nice snuggling with her on the couch! Once Mairead got home and daddy went back to work, we started a project - cookie making!

If you don't know already, I am so not a fan of arts & crafts. Instead of Arts & Crafts, I usually throw the option of cookies out there, and it usually works! Today, we made Chocolate chip cookies. I have been on the hunt for a really GOOD recipe, so I tried this one from Bakerella.

Here's Mairead getting all her ingredients ready to bake! She is so anxious to start measuring and mixing all of the ingredients together.Not only is she anxious to start baking, but she's anxious to start trying! It's not easy keeping her little fingers out of the bowl! I feel like I wash the girls hands a million times...

Here is Lilah mixing everything together! She was so proud of herself. Of course, she had to be dressed in a princess costume :)
